MindEscape at the 89th TIF: Where Psychology Meets AI in a Digital Escape Room

MindEscape returned to the 89th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) with a new direction: using AI-powered escape rooms to assess personality and explore behaviors related to ADHD. Presented at booth 17, stand 34, the game impressed visitors with its blend of psychology, neuroscience, and game design.

Unlike traditional escape rooms focused only on entertainment, MindEscape is built on the Big Five (OCEAN) personality model. As players solve puzzles and navigate challenges, the system tracks behavioral metrics like time allocation, decision patterns, and responses under pressure. These signals are analyzed to infer traits such as openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism.

The ADHD-focused version, NeuroEscape, extends this approach to identify behavioral patterns associated with attention and impulsivity. While not a diagnostic tool, it offers a new way to screen and understand neurodivergent traits through gameplay, opening possibilities for HR, education, and mental health applications.
