At the Business School of Mediterranean College in Thessaloniki, we kicked off the semester’s guest lectures with a session that aimed to be as honest as it was inspiring. I was invited as an AI researcher, co-founder of RealMINT and SeriousMind, and member of Forbes 30 Under 30 Greece 2025, to talk to students about what it really means to turn research into a startup.
We walked through the journey from university research to building a tech company at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, gaming, and human behaviour assessment. I spoke openly about uncertainty, experimentation, resilience, and the mindset required to transform an academic idea into a scalable business. We discussed funding, partnerships, early-stage growth, and the fact that entrepreneurship is not a straight line to success but a continuous learning process.
What made the session valuable was the authenticity in the room. Entrepreneurship was not presented as a glamorous story, but as a practice of adaptability, collaboration, and strategic thinking. Students left with a clearer picture of how research can evolve into market-ready products, and with practical insights on risk, failure, and decision-making in the Greek startup ecosystem.
